SOLO QUILT

As part of the magazine Solostories, the stories of three women are visualized on the quilt.  In ancient times, quilts were made by women to tell their stories through. Through symbols, the quilt became a way to tell stories. Women could express their thoughts, wishes and demands. They also started making quilts in an organised way for charitable or political purposes. With their sewing they supported reform movements. In this way, women were active for the abolition of slavery, for example.
