IL CORPO DELLA TERRA 

A project during my residency at Villa Lena Foundation.

Il corpo della terra is a collection of hand-build sculptures. Inspired on the tuscan stones and earth, Elin created simple shapes that invite you to touch and feel the natural material. Only the inside of the shapes are glazed, the outside is still raw, textured clay. The collection is called ‘il corpo della terra’ which means ‘the body of the earth’: a collection of bodies created by a body. 

The sculptures are made layer by layer. Every layer has been given the time to reflect, to look, to feel, until slowly the final shape emerged.
